Press Release
THE FUTURE CAN WAIT 2009 |
Exhibition Dates : Wednesday October 14th – Sunday October 18th 2009 |
Ellis Rumley Projects presents THE FUTURE CAN WAIT for the third year running at The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane. Launched in 2007, THE FUTURE CAN WAIT was conceived as a complement to London’s Frieze week and an alternative to the art fair system with its emphasis on curatorial presentation, showing a foresight that has since been embraced by respected art fairs such as Zoo and Preview Berlin. This year sees the show move to the roof top of the Old Truman Brewery and features thirty five artists working in painting, drawing, performance, photography, video, installation and sculpture. Situated in derelict industrial spaces connected by the roof top itself, the location will be a London exclusive. Funded by private investment and corporate sponsorship, the exhibition is an independent overview of London’s emerging artists, curated by Zavier Ellis and Simon Rumley. All work is for sale and provides an excellent opportunity for progressively minded collectors. |
