Exhibition Dates : Tuesday 11 ‐ Monday 17 October 2011 |
THIS OCTOBER THE FUTURE CAN WAIT JOINS WITH SAATCHI GALLERY & CHANNEL 4’s NEW SENSATIONS TO PRESENT LONDON’S BIGGEST CURATED EXHIBITION OF EMERGING ARTISTS DURING THE 2011 FRIEZE WEEK. To celebrate their fifth year anniversaries The Future Can Wait and Saatchi Gallery & Channel 4’s New Sensations will present an essential show at the 22,000 sq ft Victoria House Basement in central London’s Bloomsbury Square, WC1B. Since 2007 the two exhibitions have set themselves apart by being the only constant mainstays alongside Frieze Art Fair. This joint event will be a curated exhibition mounted at an art fair scale that provides collectors with a necessary contrast to the art fair routine. Both parties are known for their ability to identify rising talent early with artists previously shown including Gordon Cheung, Stella Vine, Tessa Farmer, Monica Ursina Jäger, Alexander Hoda, Tim Ellis, James Jessop, Gavin Nolan, John Stark and Nika Neelova. 2011 will be a key barometer of London’s emerging art scene and all work will be for sale. Collector previews can be arranged by contacting thefuture@thefuturecanwait.com. |
